We make the move at last
Two weeks ago Trudi and I finished a 10 hour drive from Arlington VA to Swampscott MA along with our cat, a very unpleasant experience for him and for us as well. We spent the night on air mattresses in the dining room as we had no furniture in the house. Two days later all our worldly possessions arrived and were unloaded over a period of 10 hours by three movers. It marked the first time in 35 years that we had moved off the same block in Arlington. Thirty five years ago we were newlyweds, excited by our prospects of a life together. Now we have most of our lives behind us. And yet, we have a new granddaughter, our daughters within less than an hour's drive from us, and now a new community to learn about and make our way in. This blog will attempt to record our experiences uprooted from our past lives and creating new ones.
